Board of Education

The Brockport Central School District Board of Education consists of seven volunteer community residents elected by District voters. Regular Business Meetings are typically held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the District Board Room for the purpose of conducting public business and taking required action on agenda items. Study Sessions* are held the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the District Board Room. Action may be taken on agenda items if deemed necessary. Please click here to see the attached schedule of dates for the 2018-19 School Year.

When a special meeting is necessary, public notice is given as soon as possible prior to the meeting. All meetings of the Board are open to the public except those specifically exempted by law. By law, closed or executive sessions may be called to discuss certain personnel action, student discipline cases, contract negotiations, some property transactions and for consultation with attorneys on pending litigation. Meeting dates and additional information about the Board of Education can be found on the pages to the right.

If you have any questions regarding the Brockport Board of Education, Board meetings, policy issues, etc., please feel free to contact Stephanie Williams, District Clerk, in the District Office at (585) 637-1939 or stephanie.williams@bcs1.org.

*As part of the Board's initiative to further engage with the community on important school issues, and to promote engagement, the Board of Education will dedicate the second meeting of each month to publicly study and discuss matters of interest or concern that affect the district. Every session will include the opportunity for public comment.
