UPDATE: COVID Notifications

UPDATE: COVID-19 Notifications
Posted on 10/26/2020

The Monroe County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) notified us that a Hill School staff member has tested positive with COVID-19 today. We can share that the staff member who tested positive has not been on campus since October 23. Per privacy guidelines, no additional personally identifiable information can be shared about this individual.

After completing their investigation, MCDPH determined the initial case was not a result of being on our campus. However, the MCDPH has determined that the positive case resulted in an exposure to one additional staff member in a faculty room. Both individuals were placed in mandatory quarantine by MCDPH. They have determined there was no additional exposure to anyone else in classrooms, school buses or in the school building. Any individuals who are at risk of exposure outside of school have been notified by MCDPH and placed into mandatory quarantine. It is not necessary to take action unless you are personally notified by the DOH.

We ask that you respect the privacy of this individual and others and please refrain from sharing information about positive cases—even your own—on social media.

We are committed to providing our staff and students with a safe and healthy environment. Please continue to wear face masks, maintain social distancing and wash your hands frequently. Thank you for your understanding and ongoing cooperation with our COVID-19 prevention policies and procedures as we work to help protect our students, staff and families.

Thank you,
Sean Bruno, Superintendent of Schools
