The Office of Inclusive Education is responsible for the evaluation, placement and service provision of and for students with disabilities as defined by federal and state regulations.
Each building in the BCSD has an instructional team that works together with parents to provide specifically identified interventions and strategies to support each child’s success in school. Each building team collects and reviews all relevant data and input and ensures that all general education supports (instructional modifications and Academic Intervention Services) are utilized prior to a referral to the Committee on Special Education.
For students who do present with educational disabilities, the Brockport Central School District offers a comprehensive special education program to meet children’s needs at all ability levels. It is the District’s policy and practice to meet the educational needs of students within the most inclusive and least restrictive environment.
