Bruno previously served as the superintendent for Mexico Academy and Central School District, where he successfully led the district for five years. Prior to this position, he served as principal of Fred Hill Elementary. During his 28 years in education, Bruno served as an assistant principal, special education teacher and teaching assistant at the elementary, middle and high school levels in suburban, urban and rural school districts.
Bruno earned his Bachelor of Science at Buffalo State College and continued his studies at Niagara University, earning a Master’s of Science and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration and Supervision. Bruno also completed the NYS Council of School Superintendents Leadership for Educational Achievement Foundation Future Superintendents Academy and SUNY Oswego’s NYS Superintendent Development Program.
