Freedom of Information Law

Brockport Central School District, as a local government entity, is subject to the New York State Freedom of Information Law ("FOIL"). The Freedom of Information Law provides the public with the right to access certain government records. You may submit your request for records from the district by regular mail or by electronic mail at the following addresses:

Jerilee Gulino, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources
Brockport Central School District
40 Allen Street
Brockport, New York 14420
or by email

Upon receipt of your request, Ms. Gulino will respond and notify you of the availability of the records requested and the date that you can anticipate receiving those records. Please note that the district has five business days to respond to your request and an additional 20 business days to provide the records requested. In some instances, the district may require additional time to provide the requested records or may deny the request based on exceptions to the availability of records under FOIL.

The district will respond to your request in the same manner as the request was made. For example, if you request the records electronically, the district will provide the records electronically. If you would prefer to receive the records in a specific format, please specify that in your request. If paper records are requested, the district will not provide those records until you pay for the cost of copying those records.

If you have any questions regarding the Freedom of Information Law, how to request records under the law or what records are accessible, please visit the Committee on Open Government website.
