The Brockport Central School District offers a Volunteer Program for interested community members to assist in classrooms with teachers and their students on various activities and projects. Volunteers are needed on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis or even for occasional class projects. The Human Resources Office, in conjunction with building administrators, coordinates the Volunteer Program. Teachers will inform building administrators of their volunteer needs at the beginning of the school year and that information will be used to place volunteers throughout the school year.
The Brockport Central School District welcomes and encourages volunteers to work in our schools. Many volunteers are needed, especially in the kindergarten classrooms. If you have time in the morning or afternoon, or even an hour of time to share a talent, read, or help with activities, it would be greatly appreciated.
If you are interested in volunteering in the schools, a Volunteer Application must be completed online and submitted for approval. All new volunteers need to be approved by the District and the Board of Education before they can serve as a volunteer.
Although it is necessary to initially complete the online application, it is no longer necessary to update forms each year. You only need to update your application online if you have a change in address, phone number, preferred school, preferred teacher, etc.
